  I met with several surgeons for weight loss surgery and decided on Dr. Choi. Dr. Choi was professional, thorough and took the time to answer my questions. What impressed me the most the was post op follow-up. He called me several times during the first post op week, then about 1x per week for the next month. He still calls every 3-4 weeks to see how i'm doing. I had gastric sleeve on 2/4/15 and have so far lost 50 pounds with no complications and no dumping. I'm off blood pressure meds and I feel great. I enthusiastically recommend Dr. Choi for anyone considering weight loss surgery!

  I came to Strax Rejuvination initially looking to get the lap band. It just so happened that my mD was Dr. Choi, I didn't personally request him. Although now looking back on it maybe he is the only mD who does bariatric surgery at this facility. Anyways, he was very honest with me and ended up explaining to me how the VSG (Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy) would work better for someone of my size. I decided to take his advice and signed up for my surgery a couple days later, which was set for June 24, 2015. He told me what he expected of me and I obliged. The day of surgery he came to meet with me, was very professional and personable. I had my surgery and went home the next day. I personally had zero complications, zero pain (it was managed very well) and I always knew what was expected of me. Again this is just my personal experience, everyone body and procedures are unique to themselves. He followed up with me shortly after surgery and has been accessible if need be thus far (I am 10 days postop at the time of writing this). I would do this a thousand times over knowing how great of an experience it was for me! Thank you Dr. Choi

  Dr michael choy at the begining he's very nice and when he sees you dont loose weight he blames you. he is very disorganized. many times i went to visit him he did not even have my chart in front of him, and on the next visit he would tell him . oh you have not been here in the last 3 months, and i was really there the past month. the lapband he used on me was the old style and was no longer in the market . he kept telling me it was mentally that i was feeling bad with the band. and after the third bite i swallowed the food would come up my througt and he's answer was i was over eating , after i had just told him it was during the first bites that the food would come up. dr choy is not a professional dr. i felt obligated to go see another dr where he sent me to do a upper gi and the radiologist immediately sent for me to go directly see the dr , because the lap band was input it wrong and it was strangling my stomach. i called dr. choy and hes answer was , well if you decided to trust another dr, well go with him and stay with him. i did not think that was professionally, he never called to see if i was dead or alive , he knows i went through this surgery because he convinced me that it was going to work. i do not recomend dr. choy... at the begining i was told not to use him , because he was not very experienced but after i had a consultation with him i felt confortable and excited and i closed my eyes and went for it.. now for not listening and not reading and paying attention to the reviews, i have my ugly scars and no results, i am back in the gym and diet.hope this experience never happens to any body else..
